an apology note to you

by - 9/19/2015 12:52:00 pm

Hi everyone! Gosh, my last post was on August the 12th. Sorry about that. This alienation from Blogger was harder than I thought, now that I actually have a few readers.

I want to tell you why I haven't been posting, and I'm not trying to be defensive or anything. But I think I owe you an explanation.

These past few weeks have been sucking color from my life like a leechy bastard. I didn't really enjoy going to school, and I didn't like my home life either. And because I didn't have anywhere else to go...

I stopped writing, drawing, designing, playing the piano, annotating books that I wanted to annotate. I ate, did my homework, and I re-read old books, and pretended to like phony people (I've been reading The Catcher in the Rye). That was pretty much it.

By the way, I don't have depression. This period of seriousness can never compare to any mental illness. It's just, sometimes I read too much into things. I begin to see the cracks in our natural order, our status quo, and sometimes I don't like how much control society has over everything.

But it's okay now--the doubt of our existence has passed. I'm going to start posting, replying back to unanswered comments (especially such thoughtful ones on my recent post!), and I'm going to start reading and commenting on other blogs. I might even change my blog design again!

See you soon!

  10. It's school that's doing it, Jo... I've been feeling the same lately, but I found that just stepping back for a bit really helps. I make sure to thank all of my readers, though! I feel that readers typically understand when you're going through a dry spell... and that's one of the things I love about the blogosphere!

  11. Ugh, I feel you. Blogging is SO hard to keep up with, and I find my posts slipping with school and writing and editing and reading and activities... *sigh* We all understand you, girl. ;)

  18. Even though you said you aren't dealing with depression or anything like that, I set up a blog for reasons like this. To encourage through hard times. It is a work in progress and I don't have much on it and am still working on it, but maybe it will help. This is the link. http://anthembirdwithabrokenwing.blogspot.com/
